Settlement services for newcomers
As part of the CFA's community plan, the CCFL and Collège Boréal also offer:
- English Conversation Circles for Newcomers (ECCN)
- English language training programs focused on in-demand occupations (Collège Boréal)
- Civic workshops (CCFL)
- Mentorship Program (Collège Boréal)
The first point of contact for newcomers once they arrive in London is to go through settlement workers (newcomer settlement services).
Boréal College
Collège Boréal offers comprehensive support to facilitate the integration of newcomers. Its team helps with finding housing, including subsidized housing, to meet the residential needs of families.
In the area of health, counselors assist with obtaining health cards, refer clients to family doctors, and connect them with mental health support services.
The referral service allows clients to benefit from personalized navigation, access employment centers, and be referred to various related programs.
Collège Boréal also provides assistance with all immigration and citizenship procedures, including visa applications, work permits, citizenship applications, and travel documents and permits.
In everyday life, newcomers receive help opening a bank account, obtaining a driver's license, accessing family allowances, and finding childcare services.
Finally, Collège Boréal offers a tax clinic where eligible clients can have their tax returns completed and filed free of charge.

The Francophone Community Hub
of London (CCFL)
This service includes the following programs: the School-Based Worker Program, the Settlement Program, the Volunteer Hub, the Francophone Ethnocultural Hub, and the Mentoring Program. In addition, the CCFL offers case management and a health navigation program for Black individuals.
To achieve their objectives, these programs offer the service needs and strengths assessments, the service information and guidance, the service of community connection as well as the service of support.

CFA London
- CFA London also supports the social and civic integration of French-speaking newcomers through civic and political participation workshops offered in collaboration with the Carrefour communautaire francophone de London (CCFL). These workshops provide a better understanding of how Canadian institutions work, civic rights and responsibilities, and the different ways to get involved in community life.
- The program includes educational sessions, meetings with elected officials, and guided tours of places such as London City Hall and Queen’s Park in Toronto. By promoting knowledge of the democratic system and active participation, CFA London helps newcomers become fully involved in their host community.

Services for seniors
Carrefour des adultes et aîné(e)s francophones (CAAF)
The CCFL provides a social environment where adults and seniors can strengthen their sense of belonging to their language and culture, reconnect with friends and loved ones, and develop a desire to get involved, volunteer, and share their experiences and expertise within the Francophone community.
Regular activities include (art, culture, sports, etc.): health and safety workshops, walking, birthday parties, book club, pickleball, etc.
The CAAF also offers transportation services for seniors (for trips to medical appointments, for example).
Aging well at home
The Aging Well at Home program aims to help vulnerable seniors age safely at home by providing them with a wide range of services, such as respite care for caregivers, exterior home maintenance, transportation (medical appointments), social visits at home, meal delivery, and more.
FARFO—Federation of Francophone Seniors and Retirees of Ontario
FARFO is a provincial organization that brings together and supports Francophone seniors and retirees in Ontario.
Services for young people
Mentoring Program (CCFL)
The CCFL mentoring program aims to bring young people together twice a week in a dynamic setting. It offers homework support, sports activities, and community connection workshops.
To facilitate participation, the CCFL even provides transportation: pick-up at school and transportation to the CCFL.

Ethnocultural communities
Francophone Ethnocultural Crossroads (CCFL)
The Carrefour ethnoculturel francophone (CEF), an initiative of the Carrefour communautaire francophone de London (CCFL) created in 2021, provides a space where ethnocultural communities can meet, share ideas, and have fun through dinners, gatherings, sports activities, workshops, and even shows.
To date, the CEF brings together various ethnocultural communities, in addition to those mentioned on this page:
- Community Association of Lebanese and Middle Eastern Peoples of London
- Burundian-Canadian Cultural Association of London
- London-Middlesex Ontario Ivorian Association
- Umoja Ni Nguvu Association
- Togolese community in southwestern Ontario

Notable initiatives include: the annual celebration of National Francophone Immigration Week, Black History Month festivities, personalized welcome for newcomers, etc.

The Canadian-Congolese Cultural Association of London (CCACL) plays a crucial role in the integration and settlement of Canadians of Congolese origin living in the city of London and surrounding areas. It offers them a wide range of community services and resources from the private and government sectors.
